June 9, 2018 – “I’m Not Ashamed of the Gospel.” – by David Schiller

“Rabbi Schiller begins a new series today on the Book of Romans. Today, we look at Rom 1, the essence of the Gospel as Saving Faith, and the Power of the Gospel, resulting in transformed lives. The true Gospel produces holiness and a passion to follow Y’Shua as LORD.”

May 26, 2018 – “Shavuot & the Outpouring of the Spirit.” – by David Schiller

“Rabbi Schiller speaks on Acts 2 and the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit, seeing how the Spirit is given as a seal of our salvation; to create the corporate Body of Messiah; to enable us to walk in the Fruits & Gifts of the Spirit; as a sign of the Kingdom; and as an empowerment for us to be Y’Shua’s witnesses.”

An Opportunity to serve one another
Jerry and Melissa Henderson are asking for hands on help after the baby is born. The baby is due July 5th. Jerry will be able to take a couple days off from work but not many.  Melissa will need help for at least two weeks after delivery taking care of Ari and the baby, getting some rest, meals, and basic cleaning around the apartment.  They also wanted to ask if there is someone willing to come over and babysit a couple hours as needed June, July, August, and September they would try to compensate for their time and help.

Our God is a consuming fire. The Lord Jesus came to cast fire on the earth. The seven Spirits of God are the seven lamps of fire burning. The word of God is a fire that burns in us. The source of our service must be God, and the basis of our work must be the fire from the altar. In serving God we need to have not only the proper source (which is God Himself) but also the proper basis, the basic principle of our work.
If we don’t have the proper basis, even though we may have the right source we may work for God by our zeal or knowledge.
According to Leviticus, the basis of our service has to be the fire from the altar of burnt offering; until the fire comes, there’s no service. We serve God because there’s a fire burning in us. The God who sends us for His service and who is the source of our service is the fire burning in us!
