Tomorrow, October 27, 2019  

Great family outing and outreach to the Jewish Community!
The 5th annual Dallas Kosher BBQ Championship will take place tomorrow, Sunday, October 27 from 11 am to 4 pm at Sunnyland Outdoor Living in North Dallas at the northwest corner of Coit and Spring Valley roads. Admission is free, however there will be food vendors, and other booths to purchase food, drinks and other things. They will also have a pickle and hot dog eating contest as well as a food drive for Jewish Family Services.

Bring your non-perishable foods or $$ donations for the Jewish Family Service, Dallas Food Pantry to this year’s Fifth Annual Dallas Kosher BBQ Championship on October 27. When you make your donation of 5 or more items (or for every $5 you donate), you’ll get a raffle ticket for a chance to win some great prizes!

Note that the Jewish Family Service Food Pantry is an affiliate of the North Texas Food Bank, addressing issues related to hunger in the Dallas area, and foods need not be kosher to be donated. For more information about the JFS Food Pantry, check them out online Here

Men’s Events

November 3 Sunday     8am to 10 am
Garland Gun Range East of Fire Wheel Mall
A men’s event.   This is an open event to all men from Teens to Senior Adults
Hand Gun Range, Rifle Range, and Skeet shooting.
The shul will cover the range costs
you bring guns and bring or buy your own ammunition.
After the Range time we will have brunch / lunch together for a time of fellowship. You will Pay for your own lunch.

Friday 12:00 – on -Arrive set up tents, fellowship.
             ** Optional Pistol Shooting on New Range
               6:00pm -Shabbat Dinner
               7:30pm – Teaching #1 -“What does it mean to stand firm”
              9:00pm -Prayer, fireside fellowship.
Saturday 9:00am -Breakfast.
                 10:30am – – Open conversation on spiritual warfare, real examples, group conversation.
                 12:30pm -Lunch
                   3:00pm -Teaching #2 -Spiritual Warfare, Definition, The unseen Realm, why this subject has been lost in the mainstream, (Though it was very much known and discussed in early Judaism and early Christian Church).
How do we Stand Firm? Does Repentance play a role in warding off spiritual warfare, Best Practices.
                 5:00pm -Break.            Dusk BBQ and fellowship

               9:00am -Teaching #3 -Spirtual Warfare continued.   Worship and Prayer

Every Shabbat we are blessed to have MORE VISITORS join us for oneg. Because fellowship is an important part of Eitz Chaim’s ministry, we are asking
ALL MEMBERS and REGULAR ATTENDEES TO PARTICIPATE BY BRINGING A DISH, OR TWO, to Shul on Shabbat. Oneg is a time of sharing and fellowship.
Remember chicken is allowed for Oneg now.
