High Holy Days are a special time before the Lord.
Please dress appropriately.

Psalm 96:7 Give Adonai his due, you families from the peoples;

give Adonai his due of glory and strength;
8 give Adonai the glory due to his name;
bring an offering, and enter his courtyards.
tremble before him, all the earth!
10 Say among the nations, “Adonai is king!”
The world is firmly established, immovable.
He will judge the peoples fairly.
AC can be cold bring a wrap to keep warm.
The High Holy Days traditions will continue at Eitz Chaim with Tuesday night’s 7:00 pm Erev Yom Kippur~Kol Nidre Service, October 8th, & on Wednesday morning 10:30 am, October 9th, our observance of the Day of Atonement.   
Yom Kippur is a FAST day, no Oneg after services, however, please bring a dish to break the fast later in the evening. Everyone is asked to stay after services on Wednesday October 9th, for an afternoon of special activities: Foot washing, mini drash, time of reflection, prayer & repentance, ending in the evening with Yitzkor & Nielah services, 1:30-7:00pm. At 7:30pm, we’ll “break the fast” together, with a pot luck feast!  Needed: (From EVERYONE!*) Everyone is asked to bring a dish for Wednesday 7:30pm night’s “break-the-fast.”

Now is the time to ask your employer for time off if you want to attend daytime services.

September 29 Erev Rosh Hashanah  Sunday 7:00 pm service
                  30 Rosh Hashanah  Monday 10:30 am service
October      8 Erev Yom Kippur  7:00 pm service
                   9 Yom Kippur 10:30 am service; continuing for a special afternoon of additional programs as well, culminating in a communal break the fast at sundown, breaking the fast at twilight.
                 13 Erev Tabernacles  Cooper Lake for Campers set up day
                 19 Tabernacles Celebrated at Shul
                20 End of Feast of Tabernacles
                21 is the 8th day.

Visitors are welcome to come up to Cooper lake anytime during the week for day use or overnight camping. Day use requires a day fee ($5.) payable at the ranger station at the main gate. Overnight stays require a reservation. See information in next section for making reservations. Reservations are only needed for overnight stays.

Come for as many or as few days as you have available. You will never be too late, always welcome to participate. All are invited for the 8th day October 21. Teachings and activities every day.
All are welcome, no tickets needed, come for one or all services.

Kosher BBQ  Cook off  Dallas TX

The national cuisine of Texas meets the dietary laws of the Bible in the Fifth Annual Dallas Kosher BBQ Championship on Sunday, October 27, 2019. Under the supervision of Dallas Kosher and the world-renowned Kansas City Barbeque Society, teams from around Texas and beyond will compete in a delectable, family-friendly event that is sure to draw a big crowd.

Every Shabbat we are blessed to have MORE VISITORS join us for oneg. Because fellowship is an important part of Eitz Chaim’s ministry, we are asking
ALL MEMBERS and REGULAR ATTENDEES TO PARTICIPATE BY BRINGING A DISH, OR TWO, to Shul on Shabbat. Oneg is a time of sharing and fellowship.
Remember chicken is allowed for Oneg now.
