 September 22

Bring Myrtle branches and other things like fresh fruit, decorative garlands, and ornaments to decorate the Sukkah.  



High Holy Days are a special time before the Lord.
Please dress appropriately!  

No shorts, jeans, Tee shirts, flip flops please. Most men wear shirt and tie, nice collared Polo shirt; a sports or suit coat is welcome, ladies dresses or business casual pants and tops. AC can be cold bring a wrap to keep warm.

The High Holy Days traditions will continue at Eitz Chaim with Tuesday night’s 7:00 pm Erev Yom Kippur~Kol Nidre Service, September 18.

Wednesday morning, September 19th

10:30 am, our observance of the Day of Atonement.

Yom Kippur is a FAST day, no Oneg after services, however, please bring a dish to break the fast later in the evening. Everyone is asked to stay after services on Wednesday September 19th, for an afternoon of special activities: Mini drashs, time of reflection, prayer & repentance, foot washing, ending in the evening with Yitzkor & Nielah services, 1:30-7:00pm. At 7:30pm, we’ll “break the fast” together, with a pot luck feast!

Needed: (From EVERYONE!*)
Everyone is asked to bring a dish for Wednesday 7:30pm night’s “break-the-fast. Regular weekly dairy Oneg food, no meats, pork, chicken, or shellfish. Lentil soup is a traditional food for Yom Kippur”
Help decorate the Sukkah on September 22
with myrtle branches and fresh fruit.
The normal Sukkot observance with the waving of the Etrog and Lulav
will be during our normal Sabbath Service September 29.

Healing rooms
During the Praise and Worship there will be rooms available in the office for Healing Prayer and other needs. There will be periodic slides inviting folks to come back for prayer as they feel the need. We will have 3 rooms available, See one of the ushers for directions any time during the Praise and Worship service prior to the Message.   If you are interested in becoming part of the Healing Ministry Team please contact Kathleen Marion kamsinger@aol.com

Ushers Greeters, Host, and Hostesses still needed.
This is a once a month service.
